MMMMMMM....Candy....MMMMMMM

Halloween is coming. It is a time for kids to dress up like someone else and get candy. I remember Halloween when I was a kid. What came to my mind earlier today was how Halloween for kids had its own economic structure. It had it's own system of supply and demand that determined which candy had more value. Thus we had the candy trade. Everyone can remember the toffee candies that were in the orange wrappers. Almost half of my candy stash was made up of these candies. This was the lowest denomination. Next were the rockets. This actually were a popular candy however because you would get so many of them they were not on the must have list. You could trade several of your rockets and maybe a few toffee candies and get a chocolate bar or bag of chips in return. This basic economic structure existed and was easily comprehended by kids who didn't even know what economics is. I could use this as an opportunity to make a point about the potential of kids however this entry serves one purpose. It's a great opportunity for me to remiss about being a kid again. Happy Halloween and BOO!!!!

Yours truly,
